It is estimated that one in two Caucasian women and one in five men will experience an osteoporosis-related fracture at some time in their life.2 Nurse Practitioners are often at the frontline in the diagnosis and management of osteoporosis. Fifty-five percent of all AANP members regularly (at least weekly) treat patients with osteoporosis.
